Outsource vocal comping, mixing, sweetening, and other tasks to us. We can subtly adjust pitch, timing, and dynamics, plus tame sibilants, consonants, and breath. Our services also include recording vocal, guitar, bass, and other tracks.

Meet the founder
I’m Steve Davis, the founder of Shoreline Production Group. Born and raised in CT with music around the house, I played the piano and trumpet as a kid. But after "borrowing" my friend's older brother's guitar and plugging into his Marshall half-stack, I was hooked.
In high school, my band recorded an album of original music with local guitar legend, Burt Teague. Several tracks received prime-time airplay on Radio 104.1 WMRQ (the biggest alternative rock station in CT at the time), which led to a live performance at the Clear Channel studios in Hartford and a gig opening for Vertical Horizon in front of thousands of people. It was pretty cool.
Around this time, I was mentored by Grammy-winning composer, John Colby (SportsCenter, Ken Burns), who taught me about recording and mixing and let me observe sessions at his studio with incredible players like Jeff Pevar (Ray Charles, CSN, Phil Lesh). I also recorded an original album at Planet of Sound in Hartford, CT (home of The Rock 106.9 WCCC’s classic “Live at Planet of Sound” sessions), where I learned more about recording and mixing from the owner and engineer, Myles Mangino (The Pixies).
I was later accepted to Berklee, but never made it to Boston. I played gigs throughout the Northeast, opened for popular artists including Gavin DeGraw, played guitar on tracks for major TV networks, and recorded an EP of original songs produced by Robby Takac of the multi-platinum band, the Goo Goo Dolls.
After pursuing music along with other creative endeavors – doing everything from 3D animation for ESPN to fronting an old-school punk band that opened for Marky Ramone – I founded the band Atomic Funk Project in 2012 and have focused on music ever since.
I have performed at prestigious venues including Grand Central Terminal and Fenway Park. My band has opened for big names like Lionel Richie, Tower of Power, and Nick Jonas. I have designed professional sound systems, consulted on live sound installations, and built my own recording studio.
My work has been nominated for multiple Emmy Awards and has won a PromaxBDA World Gold Award and a NY Festivals TV & Film Awards Silver World Medal. I currently produce hundreds of live music events annually and have won The Knot Best of Weddings and WeddingWire Couples' Choice Awards every year since 2016.
My wife is a gifted creator, singer-songwriter, vocal coach, and vocal producer. She studied classical voice and piano at the Concordia Conservatory of Music and worked under Al Hemberger at The Loft Recording Studios, known for vocal production on records for Kelly Clarkson, Christina Aguilera, and Rihanna.
