Preamps & Interfaces
The heart of our studio is 32 channels of Metric Halo ULN-R boutique microphone preamps, each with 90 dB of analog gain, high headroom, and ultra-low noise. These preamps give a warm, open sound that is highly revealing yet totally natural. Metric Halo mkIV audio interfaces provide mastering/archival quality 192k A/D/A conversion in a portable package.
Channel Strips
Our studio features a pair of Neve Portico II Channels, created using the high voltage topologies from the Neve 5088 for the ultimate sound quality. Comprised of a fully-featured mic preamp, 4-band EQ, compressor-limiter, and "texture" control, each unit includes a transient-optimized swept HPF, fully tunable de-esser, multiple VCA filtering options, parallel compression blending, and more.
